Product Abstract: The Laurel botanical is a small evergreen shrub or tree that originated in the eastern Mediterranean countries. The tree reaches maturity after five years and yields approximately 5 kg of leaves per season, which in turn yields approximately 50-70 g of essential oil. Although Laurel leaves have been known for thousands of years, their use as a household culinary herb is believed to be a comparatively recent one.
Cautions: For external use only; dilute before use. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
