Glabrouse ruptur-wort (herniary) Herniaria glabra L.

Herniaria glabra is a one-year or two-year herbaceous plant of the Caryophyllaceae family. The stem is grassy or stiff at its base, usually with numerous fields up to 20 - 30 cm long branches. The leaves are relatively small, back ovate, whole, slightly pointed at the top. The flowers are small, almost seated, gathered 5-10 in lateral gills, inflorescences along the length of the tube and its branches. The fruit is an egg-shaped goal. The seeds are small, dark to black, smooth and shiny. Blooms in April - August.

In Bulgaria they meet in pessimistic and grassy places, up to 1500 m above sea level.

The overhead part (Herba Herniarae glabrae) is used. In the period July to August, the overhead part is poured during flowering. The flour should be roasted and not plucked with the grains.

Used in medicine as an antispasmodic and diuretic agent. It is applied externally to skin eruptions, with higher doses being poisonous.
